From beginner ball juggling to advanced club tricks! Even rope spinning, tops, and maybe even some hula hooping! There will be workshops for everyone. If you’re interested in teaching a workshop, let us know! Workshops happen throughout the event. Schedule and events may be prone to changing.
There’s something magical about the way a top spins. You know you want to learn how to make it happen. Total beginners and experts are welcome. Fun-haters need not apply. Bring a top if you have one, Mark will have some loaners if you don’t.
Have you always been interested in learning hula hoop, but didn’t know where to begin? Or maybe you recently picked one up for the first time? That means this class is perfect for you! We will go over basic techniques and tricks to help you begin your hoop journey. We will cover basic on body and techniques to help you keep your hoop revolving with ease. We will also cover some off body tricks like isolations, single hoop weaves, transitioning and more! Bring your hoop, but extra’s will be provided as well!
If you’re juggling in front of people, you’re juggling with character. This workshop is designed to help you see the choices you’re already making by accident, and to offer suggestions on how to make choices on purpose. This is not a clown workshop. We’ll be working on exercises for many levels and styles. Please wear comfortable clothes, bring any props you want, and bring a phone with a camera or a video camera.
This workshop is the perfect start to get you rolling through some contact poi! It covers everything from basic tossing, some fun/rewarding manipulations, and of course….contact rolls! This workshop gears towards skipping the usually formed “bad habits.” Even though this workshop is labeled “beginner,” there will be information for all skill levels.
This workshop will cover the basics of club multiplexes to increase the possibilities of your juggling. It will go over some two and three club multiplexing starts and show how you can integrate club multiplexing into your normal juggling patterns. There are no prerequisite skills required to take this workshop besides having some clubs of your own! The possibilities are endless!

Calling all hula hoopers, jugglers, movement artist! This class will explore how to clean and perfect your basic chest/back body roll as well as covering different variations. Some of those variations include continuous body rolls, reversals, tossing into and out of body rolls and many more. Great for those who spin hula hoop circles or can even be modified or taught with juggling rings.
Have you got the tricks, but want to know how to add your own style? Or maybe you feel stiff and stuck when you’re performing or flowing? This class is perfect for you! We will discuss how to include more body movement with your prop movement and ways to make it look clean and technical. Some specifics that will be covered are how to add dance steps into your movement, adding turns and a general understanding of how our bodies work and can move individually.
Whether you’re designing a juggling routine or the next big thing in men’s footwear, the creative process always starts with ideas. Brainstorming is a method of generating a ton of ideas, and then winnowing them down to the good stuff. Mark Hayward will talk about his creative process, and help you figure out how to improve your own idea generation. Come with a problem that needs solving, and we’ll sick the group on it.
This workshop will offer a variety of club manipulation foundation focusing on some of my favorite tricks as well. We will cover everything from legos and scissors to beginner club contact work. Whether you are new to manipulation or just trying to find some new ideas, this workshop is for you.

Cigar boxes are only recently being explored fully. This workshop is designed for beginner and intermediate folks to get some tips to help take their work to the next level. We’ll introduce and explore techniques with mostly three boxes, and a bit with four if people are interested. Please wear clothes you can move in, and bring boxes. Extra boxes will be available in very limited quantities.
